I have spoken to many a soldier throughout the years of my book research. They all agree on one thing and that is: "The price of peace is the deaths of innocent men." To defend the peace and safety of your family and friends, a soldier has to sacrifice his innocence and often, his very life. I am not talking about those who chose to invade other places for one or another reason since they are no longer soldiers but invaders.
