It was a relief that they won. With so many people without military experience involved, things could have turned out very differently. and hamsters, though they can be pretty effective warriors in this story, wouldn’t occur to most people as military types.
The hamsters in starshatter are arguably lauded as the most unpredictable combatants. The big alien empires, because they engage in the creation of genetically modified slave soldiers, they assume the uplifted hamsters are such. Our adorable chucklers capitalized upon this. Now they are called “tiny feet of doom” by the enemies of humanity and are feared. Hamsters pull every morale wrecking trick in the book, like counting the killed enemies on open comms during combat, or using ptsd inducing battlefield correct jokes to mess with the enemy.
Option '3' sounds good, but I think it has to be Option '1'. How can we pass up the chance to have a militiamen Biker Gang? Raining death from their sidecars. That would create some very memorable scenes, for sure. It's not the Hells Angels. It's the Terran Angels! Haha... 😎
BOOM!!! Loved it. The tiny feet of Doom are dancing. I too vote for Three. It seems the best way to mess with the baddies. And of course since it was Nolns idea. But I do believe George started the ideas.
#3 is more in keeping with what a morale officer would do. Throw the enemies defeat back in their faces and make them afraid to engage, or make them mad enough to forget their training.
1 does sound interesting, but 3 seems better calculated to do maximum damage.
Thank you for voting! What did you think about their first engagement?

Vote for 3. There are a few fascinating details, like the sewing repair, that show a lot of grit and resourcefulness.
Thank you for your vote! Indeed, when I was creating the Starshatter alternate history universe, I aimed to worldbuild to the best of my ability.

Thank you for your vote! Indeed, I think that this episode will also be a neck in neck vote :D
Definitely! It's looking like a close one, for sure. You may have to get the dice out again! 😎
It does look like it lol
